JOB PURPOSE: The IT Technical Services Admin Coordinator provides both internal and external style support for developing and implementing strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies while working closely within IT to serve as the IT point of contact for product and service contract support, analysis, and negotiations. Responsible for the financial practices and procedures associated with the management of these contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Assisting in acquisition, negotiation and renewal functions related to IT vendor contracts surrounding computer equipment, cell phones and other communication devices.
Evaluating and determining the most cost-effective and efficient means of acquiring IT hardware, software and services.
Ensuring all contracts and licenses will cover potential scope and use of IT hardware, software and services.
Responsible for continually seeking optimal value in service from vendors, reviewing and monitoring performance and ROI metrics and initiating contract modifications when needed to provide best service to Alamance County.
Tracking and record maintenance of all County (computer, cellphone and communication device) assets via the TrackIt software.
Responsible for collaboration on the IT department budget to ensure budget adherence in regards to IT contracts with renewals and renegotiations.
Will be responsible for IT contract management with vendors and partners utilized.
Fielding incoming help requests from customers via web-based system, telephone or walk-up in a courteous and timely fashion meeting department service goals.
Special projects as assigned to support service launches often with tight deadlines.
Travel will be required to a variety of County sites to provide onsite troubleshooting and technical support assistance.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience with virtualization suites, specific computer equipment leasing procedures and procurement state regulations is a plus. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Computer Skills: Prior experience with Microsoft Windows required. Prior experience with MUNIS software, KRONOS, wireless devices and accessories, TrackIT software, AS400 and VoiP systems is a plus.
License/Credentials: Possession of a valid driver's license. Any Microsoft certifications are an advantage.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
