Prepare a prelude, choral call to worship, two hymns, a selection for the offertory, and a postlude each week, attend and lead a choir practice each week, and be on time to practice with the choir, soloist, or small group on Sunday mornings, and assist in finding a suitable substitute if they need to be away on any given Sunday, and assist in rebuilding the choir.
The prelude will be chosen by the music director/pianist.
The choral call to worship can be a short hymn or the first verse of a hymn.
The choral call to worship can be a collection of hymns that can be used in rotation.
The hymns will be selected by the music director/pianist with the help of the choir and the pastor.
The pastor will provide an outline of scripture references to allow time for music selection and adequate practice time.
The selection for the offertory can be an anthem sung with the choir, a special selection performed with a soloist, or small group, or a solo performance by the music director.
The music for the offertory will be chosen by the music director/pianist and the choir.
The postlude will be decided by the music director/pianist.
It can be new to the service, or something taken from another part of the service.
The site and time of the weekly choir practice will be determined by the music director/pianist and the choir.
